RovoCam is AJA’s first compact block camera for industrial, corporate, security, ProAV and broadcast
applications. RovoCam’s HDBaseT interface supports control of UltraHD video, power, stereo audio and RS-232 over a single Cat 5e/6 cable.
There are two companion receivers to choose from; RovoRx-HDMI offers the simplest integration with an HDMI output, stereo audio out, control and power. RovoRx-SDI offers both 6G/3G-SDI and HDMI outputs, plus Genlock and other professional features. Both units provide PoH (Power over HDBaseT) to power RovoCam from a distance. Each interfaces with RovoControl, powerful control software for Mac and PC, offering full control of RovoCam’s numerous advanced features.

RovoCam’s marriage of lens to delivery begins with superior Sony optics, complete with built-in 12x optical zoom and up to 20x zoom with Sony Super Resolution Zoom and autofocus or manual focus capabilities; all easily controlled remotely via Sony’s VISCA protocol.
RovoCam is built around Sony’s 4K (Sony FCB-ER8300) camera module featuring a back illuminated CMOS sensor and Sony image processing for excellent performance.
What sets RovoCam apart from other cameras in its category, is an integrated HDBaseT interface supporting uncompressed video, power, stereo audio and RS-232 control over a single Cat 5e/6 cable running at lengths of up to 100 meters.

HDBaseT sits at the heart of RovoCam.
RovoCam itself features an integrated HDBaseT transmitter. Not only does HDBaseT offer affordable long cable runs up to 100 meters over standard Cat5e/6 cables, it also passes RovoCam’s gorgeous UltraHD/HD imagery, audio, control of the camera, and power to the unit.
A single Cat 5e/6 cable carries all uncompressed video, 2-Channel audio, VISCA camera control, and power for the simplest installation ever due to RovoCam’s integrated HDBaseT interface.

RovoControl
RovoControl is free software from AJA for macOS, Windows and Linux designed to be a simple application for controlling one or multiple RovoCams, offering easy control of all the main camera features like zoom, iris and focus.
RovoControl uniquely offer electronic PTZ for moving an HD 1080p box around the UltraHD frame, allowing Pan and Tilt for HD output.
RovoControl v3.0 software features:
- USB controller support for mapping RovoControl controls to a USB interface for game style controllers and USB joysticks
- Exposure control for simpler camera control in the GUI
- Improved preset command and control with global, camera and ePTZ

Powerful Optics meets Easy Transport.
RovoCam when paired with RovoRx-HDMI utilizes the power of HDBaseT, combining video signal, camera control, audio and power all passing over one standard Cat 5e/6a cable.
RovoRx-HDMI HDBaseT receiver provides an HDMI 1.4b video output for monitoring, audio output, and RS-232/VISCA for complete camera control. VISCA control can be passed through to a joystick controller or alternatively to a computer with a com port for software control.
Just plug in your RovoRx-HDMI receiver unit and your camera is up and running and ready to use.

RovoCam is simple to control via flexible software and hardware support.
RovoCam offers industry standard Sony VISCA protocol support, Local RS-232 connectivity and control over a single Cat 5e/6 cable through HDBaseT.
Work your way, whether a fan of compatible joystick driven hardware or new USB controller support through RovoControl configuration, or through software like RocoSoft’s PTZJoy Camera Control Software or Serial Port Tool’s PTZ Controller (version 3.2) or more; you’re in control.
RovoRx-SDI
Control and display RovoCam’s gorgeous UltraHD/HD imagery remotely with RovoRX-SDI and RovoControl.
RovoRX-SDI is a companion UltraHD/HD HDBaseT Mini-Converter receiver for RovoCam, with additional support for other higher frame rate HDBaseT workflows, with four integrated 6G/3G-SDI outputs and HDMI video and audio outputs for UltraHD and HD workflows.
Receive the RovoCam’s video and audio up to 100m away from the camera, and output to 6G/3G-SDI monitors, routers and recorders and HDMI TVs and devices simultaneously.
The HDBaseT connector on RovoRx-SDI supports camera uncompressed video, audio, power, and control, all over a single Cat 5e/6 cable, greatly simplifying cabling and systems integration.
RovoRx-SDI uniquely offers a DA Mode for signal distribution from an HDBaseT source, greatly expanding HDBaseT delivery options.
