Works with Most Popular iOS Recording Apps
Mikey Digital is instantly recognized for use with virtually any audio or video application, including all of the most popular iOS recording apps. To fully benefit from the quality Mikey Digital offers, it’s recommended to use a high-quality recording app such as GarageBand, Jammit, FiRe 2.0, Music Studio Lite or StudioMini Recording Studio, since Apple’s built-in Voice Memos app records at a lower bit rate.
Your iOS device recognizes Mikey Digital as a microphone and will use it for any application using a microphone, except the phone and Facetime functions. Video recording and outside apps will use Mikey Digital. iOS compatible with iPod touch (4th Gen), iPhone 4/4S, iPad/iPad2/iPad (3rd Gen). Use the Apple Lightning Adapter (sold separately) for compatibility with iPhone 5, iPad (4th Gen) and iPad Mini.
Automatic Gain Control
The Mikey Digital features an automatic gain control function that utilizes a powerful processor which constantly analyzes the sound and tracks the change in sound volume over a long periods of time, so it is able to make better decisions around when to change the sensitivity. Similarly, the processor tracks the versatile input to analyze the load and voltage level of what is plugged into it and adjusts accordingly to the best sound quality.
