The M1 Max is an incredibly powerful chip for professional grade notebooks. It features a 10-core processor, up to 32-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The graphics processing speed and memory bandwidth of this chip is twice that of the M1 Pro. Video encoding is up to 2x faster because the M1 Max has two media processors for encoding and a separate media processor for decoding, and two ProRes accelerators help with multiple video streams.

The new MacBook Pro comes in two models: 14-inch and 16-inch. Choose from either the M1 Pro or M1 Max chip for each, and either configuration will deliver unparalleled levels of performance. You can work with millions of polygons in Cinema 4D, edit up to seven streams of 8K ProRes video in Final Cut Pro, and perform HDR grading with 8K ProRes 4444 video, all on a laptop, not in a fully equipped editing room.

XDR Pleases Liquid Retina XDR

This is the first Mac notebook display with extreme dynamic range and a million-to-one contrast ratio. On such a screen, photos, games and HDR videos look great. Bright areas are clearly visible, all details in dark areas are clearly transmitted, colors are bright and natural. Each display is factory calibrated to support professional HDR grading, photography, design and prepress modes.
